Chelsea and Dewald live on a farm in Grabouw, a part of the Cape that speaks to my soul. I absolutely love shooting out there. Aside from the fact that it’s breathtaking, the people are super friendly and always treat you like a guest.
Chelsea got ready at home and was driven to the ceremony in style in an old 1960 blue Chevrolet, driven by Leon Roux. Their ceremony and reception was held at Krabbefonteyn Heritage Farm in Grabouw, and we snuck out to Dewald’s parents’ farm for the couple photos.
Chelsea’s gorgeous dress, which had pockets (how awesome?) and a removable skirt was made by Sulet Gericke-van den Heefer, and it suited her to perfection. The groom’s very own mother made their gorgeous cake, and Marianna Malherbe, a family friend, helped out with the flowers. In true Grabouw style, friends and family played a big role in making their day super special.
Thanks Chelsea and Dewald, it was a pleasure to be part of your day.
